GIPC Launches the Innovation Lifecycle

The Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) is very excited to announce the launch of The Innovation Lifecycle —a comprehensive, interactive multimedia platform that explores the importance of intellectual property (IP) in some of America’s most creative sectors.

The Innovation Lifecycle identifies the five stages required to take an idea from initial conception to final product in the marketplace. Users will be able to explore each stage and select from a diverse set of voices spanning the entertainment, pharmaceutical/biotechnology, and software industries.

The Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) is proud to present – The Innovation Lifecycle. The Innovation Lifecycle is an interactive, multimedia project that involves more than 30 voices representing a broad range of innovative and creative sectors. The interactive video experience is aimed at educating policymakers and the public about the importance of intellectual property (IP) in the innovative and creative process.

The project takes you on a journey through the lifecycle of innovation and educates the viewer on the various stages required to take an idea from initial inception all the way to the marketplace where it reaches consumers.

Washington, D.C.— The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) today released a new multimedia platform illustrating the importance of intellectual property (IP) in job creation and expanding economic growth. The Innovation Lifecycle captures more than 30 voices from America’s most innovative and creative sectors—illustrating the challenges, dedication, and skilled individuals behind the process of bringing an idea to the market.

The Chamber of Commerce’s Global IP Center is sending lawmakers a letter signed by more than 350 stakeholders that urges Congress to pass legislation to crack down on rogue websites. Signatories of the letter include the American Apparel and Footwear Association, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Comcast, Electronic Arts, Eli Lilly, NAB, NBCUniversal, NFL, MPAA, Pfizer, RIAA, Professional Photographers of America, Viacom and SIIA.
