The GIPC is pleased to unveil our newest video, highlighting the importance of intellectual property to America’s job growth and economic prosperity. This video showcases the simple facts about IP—IP-dependent industries represent 40% of America's economic growth, account for more than $5 trillion of the gross domestic product, and comprise more than half of all exports. Additionally, 18 million Americans work in IP-intensive industries. These jobs often pay better and are expected to grow faster over the next decade than the national average.

Intellectual Property and Innovation in Healthcare

Esper, executive vice president of the U.S. Chamber's Global IP Center, participated in a panel discussion with Congressman Dan Lungren, hosted by the Galen Institute, on the value of innovation in the healthcare industry and the importance of intellectual property rights protection.
