“A World Without Intellectual Property” in Brussels, Belgium

“A World Without Intellectual Property” in Brussels, Belgium

On Tuesday, June 22nd, the GIPC, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES), and the European People’s Party (EPP) Parliamentary Group are holding a panel discussion in the European Parliament entitled “A World without Intellectual Property Rights.” This event is being held in conjunction with the “Inter Parliamentary Forum on Contraband, Counterfeiting and Organized Crime Exposition” which is also taking place in the European Parliament that same week.  Ms. Marielle Gallo, MEP, is hosting the event and is the featured speaker.

The objective of this gathering is to educate and reinforce the importance of IP rights in relation to innovation, creativity, cultural diversity, jobs, quality of life, and health and safety. The program will focus attention on our daily activities, the role played by IP and IP rights, and the need to protect this system.

Also as part of this program, the GIPC will be screening Illicit, The Dark Trade, on two separate occasions in the Parliament.  If you have any questions about this event, please contact Michael Taylor at mtaylor@uschamber.com.
