GIPC Hosts 12th Annual USPTO IP Attaché Roundtable

On December 12th, 2018, the GIPC hosted the 12th Annual U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) IP Attaché Roundtable. The USPTO IP Attachés play a critical role in furthering the protection and enforcement of IP in markets around the world. The event featured interactive panels with Attachés and IP specialists and a valuable discussion about recent international IP developments and the challenges that lie ahead.

During the discussion the Attachés shared the top IP policy challenges in their regions and discussed how industry can help support their work to advance IP protection on the ground in countries around the world. The attachés, who are stationed at U.S. Embassies in key global markets, covered a broad array of topics focusing on how intellectual property fuels the growth of innovation and creativity, fosters cooperation between countries, and drives global economic development.
