High Kenya Government Officials Briefing on Innovation

On March 20 and 21, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Kenyan government, U.S. Department of Commerce, the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office, and the Global Bioscience Development Institute will host the “Technology Transfer, Biodiversity, and Green Technology: A High Kenya Government Officials Briefing on Innovation” in Mombasa, Kenya. The briefing will engage several Kenyan government officials in discussions to explore the additional infrastructure needed to advance and expand key export sectors, legislative and regulatory policies that facilitate economic growth, and intellectual property’s contribution to spurring the technology transfer process. In addition to Kenyan government officials, representatives from the private sector, academia, and scientific research centers will convene for this important briefing. The objective of the meeting is increase partnerships among the public and private sector that encourage technology transfer of climate change technology, protect innovation with a strong legal framework, enhance foreign investment, and expand capacity building and infrastructure.
