ICYMI: CBS 60 Minutes on Counterfeit Drugs


On Sunday, CBS’ 60 Minutes ran an investigative program after a nine-month investigation of counterfeit prescription drugs showing the dangerous consequences of the illicit pharmaceutical trade. The program reveals the tremendous health and safety threat posed by counterfeit drugs. The ease, access, and availability of fake drugs via rogue websites are prominently featured on the 60 Minutes program. This program couldn’t be timelier as, today, the House Judiciary Committee holds a hearing on “Promoting Investment and Protecting Commerce Online: Legitimate Sites v. Parasites, I & II”, aiming at fostering a dialogue concerning the scourge of rogue websites on the American economy.
