Robert Grant oversees international policy and international government relations at the U.S. Chamber’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC). He leads the Center’s engagement with international governments, the sections of the U.S. Government that focus on international affairs, and with UN agencies and other multilateral organizations.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Grant handled international government affairs for two multinational corporations — hotel giant IHG and Japanese trading company Mitsubishi Corp. — where he worked closely with regional affiliates to engage international governments on trade, technology, energy, competition and other matters. He began his career working on policy and political issues for the U.K. government, which culminated in his being posted to the British Embassy in Washington DC. After the embassy, Grant also spent time as an advisor to the U.S. Department of State.
Grant was educated at the University of York and the London School of Economics.
