U.S. Chamber Letter In Support of the CASE Act

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly supports S. 1273 and H.R. 2426, the “Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement (CASE) Act.” The Chamber will consider including votes on this legislation in our annual How They Voted scorecard.

The CASE Act would streamline the process for small copyright claims by creating a small claims board within the U.S. Copyright Office to adjudicate copyright infringement cases. This legislation would provide small businesses and creators with a less burdensome and costly option for defending their intellectual property rights.

The Chamber urges you to pass the CASE Act and enable small businesses to more effectively protect their intellectual property.

Sincerely,
Jack Howard
Senior Vice President
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
